You will receive a plant similar to the one in the picture. Variegation levels may vary, but the specimen selected for the picture represents what can be expected. The variegation levels of the first leaf aren't indicative of the plant's mature variegation; we have observed several cases where Black Velvet started with no variegation on their first leaf but subsequently produced nicely variegated second leaf.
For young Alocasia plants, it is recommended to maintain temperatures between 20-25°C and humidity at 60% minimum.
The pink variegation splashes become more apparent as the plant matures; they aren't typically visible on the first couple of leaves of a young plant. You can check the_eden_lab Instagram account where I have shared videos of more mature specimens in story highlights.
