Philodendron Plowmanii Variegata (Peru)

The Philodendron Plowmanii Variegata "Peru" is an incredibly rare and beautiful Philodendron. This plant produces varying amounts and colors of variegation, ranging from super bright yellow-green to minty. We believe that the variegation is genetic, as it consistently appears in the plant and all propagations have some amount of variegation.

The variegation is at its most striking when the leaf is young, with the super light green/yellow transitioning to darker, green-on-green variegation as the leaf mature. This plant can photosynthesize from the variegated parts, making it grow faster than most variegated aroids.

Another interesting feature of this plant is that it starts as a climber when young and eventually becomes a scrawler when more mature.

We refer to this plant as "Peru" because it is believed to originate from this Country. Additionally, we've created another type of variegated Philodendron Plowmanii in our laboratory that's distinctly different from this one. It comes from a completely different type of Philodendron Plowmanii and has sectoral variegation.
